This month’s selections were pretty great. I actually surpassed my goal and read three books in December.
1. The Snow Child by Eowyn Ivey (found here)
This was a lovely book. It had a wonderful fairy storyish quality and I couldn’t put it down.
2. The Art of Racing in the Rain by Garth Stein (found here)
I adored this book. It was an emotional roller coaster and I cried quite a few times. I’m sure even non-dog lovers would enjoy this!
3. Half-Blood Blues by Esi Edugyan (found here)
It took me about 100 pages to get into it, but once I did I really enjoyed it. It may not have been my cup of tea entirely, but would still recommend it as a well written book with interesting characters. It brings to the forefront a group most of us don’t usually think of when considering those persecuted during WWII.
