I learned something new after visiting Bondi beach. I realized all these years when people referred to “good beaches” I didn’t really understand what they were talking about. I mean, I’ve been to a not-that-great-beach before, but it wasn’t until I went to an amazing beach that I understood what people have been talking about. The beaches I went in Sydney were amazing. The sand was fine and very soft to walk on, the water was warm, there were giant grassy areas nearby where you could sit if you didn’t want to get sandy, the weather was hot but not too hot. It was wonderful. My only regret with this trip is that we didn’t have more beach days. It makes me want to take the month of December off and devote it to Australian beach going. Bondi beach was lovely and lived up to the reputation but we also loved the other beaches we stopped at like Bronte, Balmoral and even Whale Beach up North. Australia now holds the title (in my book) for the most beautiful beaches I’ve ever seen. Thanks to Tourism Australia and Go Mighty for making this happen.
