THURSDAY, October 17
4 p.m. – 7 p.m. Registration – This is where you get all the stuff you can carry around with you for the rest of the night.
7 p.m. – 8 p.m. Cocktail Hour – This should be way longer, right? We know. But we’re hungry.
8 p.m. – 10 p.m. Welcome Dinner, Buffet Style – So just like Vegas, but without all the inappropriate pants.
FRIDAY, October 18
8 a.m. – 9 a.m. Breakfast – If you’re still asleep that’s cool. No judgment.
9 a.m. – 9:15 a.m. Welcome! We will refrain from rushing toward you screeching. Even though we would probably do that if we weren’t mic’d.
9:15 a.m. – 9:45 a.m. Session 1
Go Mighty Co-founder and Mighty Girl publisher Maggie Mason will discuss using Life Lists to change your story, and how that narrative can help you shift your perspective, and balance self-acceptance with growth.
9:45 a.m. – 10:15 a.m. Session 2
Door Sixteen Publisher and Designer Anna Dorfman discusses why the Life List concept isn’t for her, and offers some alternate ways of bringing good stuff into your life.
10:15 a.m. – 10:45 a.m. Snacks, checking the social medias, trying to remember how you know that one girl with the cute hair.
10:45 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. Session 3: Keynote Conversation
Man! We’re pretty excited about this. Maggie Mason in conversation with Piper Kerman and Larry Smith.
They’ll discuss tactics for navigating a shift toward work that inspires you.
12:00 p.m. – 1:30 p.m. Lunch, maybe a nap, maybe some hot tub time. You do you.
1:30 p.m. – 3:30 p.m. Teams 1, 2, & 3 Life List Workshops or Free Time
This year, the Go Mighty Team will lead our resource share workshops, where each attendee chooses five things they’d like to accomplish in the coming year, and members of their team discuss resources they can contribute to the process.
3:30 p.m. – 5:30 p.m. Teams 4 & 5 Life List Workshops or Free Time
Same as the first sessions, but for different folks. In the past, we’ve done these on the second day, but then everybody bonds and has to go home. Dumb. Now we have time to compare notes across teams and make introductions to people in other groups who have interests aligned with yours. Hooray!

7:30 p.m. – 10 p.m. Space Camp Party
Tonight we’re gonna party like our nation still has a space program, whut whuuut! Campers go all out for this, because space is awe inspiring and we are not dead inside. If you need ideas, they’re here. Remember when Stevie made the papier mache planet model headdress? Damn.
There will be food here! Make sure your costume allows for mouth-hole access.
SATURDAY, October 19
8:00 a.m. – 8:30 a.m. Morning Snack
10 a.m. – 11 a.m. Breakfast? Brunch?
We pushed this back by two hours, as a gesture of respect for those of us who are hung over. The divine in us greets the divine in you.
11 a.m. – 12 p.m. Session 4: Panel Discussion
This is a panel with:
- Rena Tom, who sold her successful boutique Rare Device to offer consultation to small business owners and open Makeshift, a co-working space for creative professionals in San Francisco.
- Helena Price, who left work as a community manager for large start-ups in Silicon Valley and Silicon Alley to pursue work as a professional photographer.
- Jihan Zencirli, who grew her business, Geronimo Balloons, to near popping point in under a year, returns to talk about what’s next and share some exciting news.
12 p.m. – 12:45 p.m. Session 5: Lane Wood
A pioneer in societal innovation, Lane Wood is joining us to share how we as individuals can live a life of positive impact and meaning by creating a social good strategy for our life or small business.
12:45 p.m. – 1:30 p.m. Session 6: Next Generation’s Anastasia Ordonez
As the communications director for the Children & Families program at Next Generation, Anastasia will join us to talk early childhood, vocabulary development and how investing have a major impact.
1:30 p.m. – 3 p.m. Team Lunches
3 p.m. – 6 p.m. Activities and Optional Life List Work
8 p.m. – 10 p.m. Closing Dinner
Fooood fiiiiiight! Kidding. Our insurance does not cover that. We’ll probably just eat, and talk, and have wine, and listen to the team make a sappy speech.
SUNDAY, October 20
Breakfast On Your Own
Actually, if you really want to be on your own, you should avoid the hotel restaurant. Most of us will be there at various points, probably hugging and taking selfies. Gross.
12 p.m. Check Out
Tip your maid, please. Don’t leave your razor in the shower.
Items of Note:
Most Campers arrive on Thursday and leave Sunday morning. Keep in mind that check-in at the Ace Hotel is at 3 p.m. and check-out is at noon.
Throughout the weekend, we will be breaking out into assigned teams to talk goals and what’s next in smaller groups. Before arriving at Camp Mighty, take some time to draft your Life List and identify five goals you would like to accomplish in the next year. This will come in handy during the conference. (And, you know, in your life.)
