She raised two boys basically on her own, as a single mother who gave up everything for her kids. An infamous story tells how she sold her most prized possession, her own late mother’s set of Fiesta Ware dishes, because she wanted to make sure her boys had gifts under the Christmas tree. She started out in an administrative position at a large corporation, and has worked her way up to being a Global Sales Manager, a position that gives her an income which she is always generously sharing with her family. She says, “I have the money to do this now. Let me do it.” Her grandchildren adore her with every fiber of their beings, and even though she’s not a cold weather fan, she sat outside with her two year old grandson for an hour in the snow, just because he wanted her to. She is my biggest inspiration as a mother, wife and all around human being.
She sounds like a wonderful and selfless person and mother. Gorgeous photograph, Megan.
Thank you! I couldn’t have started this out with anyone but her :)
She sounds like an amazing woman! Thank you for sharing some of her story and this gorgeous photograph.
Thank you so much! She is so lovely and I’m lucky to have her in my life…
She sounds like an amazing person, mother and grandmother. There’s something about grandmothers, isn’t it?
Oh goodness, aren’t grandmothers the best? Watching my kids grow up with incredible grandparents is one of my favorite things about being a mom.
